Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. We ask for gender, birth date, self-described health, tobacco use, coverage amount and term. Those six answers are enough for carriers to quote. Your name, address and full health history are only collected if you choose to apply.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

The rates shown are what each carrier quotes for the health class you entered. After underwriting, the carrier sets your actual rate class, which may stay the same, improve, or change. Everything here is for information only and not an offer of insurance or a guaranteed price.

What happens when I click Apply?

You'll enter your name and the application is created from the exact quote you chose, then shifts to the carriers' secure platform. You can exit and resume whenever you want, and you sign electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, License 0B75129, processes all applications.

Will I need a medical exam?

That depends on the carrier, the amount you're requesting, and your answers. Carriers now commonly skip the exam for younger applicants under their limits with no major health history and no recent tobacco use. Each quote tells you if an exam is required, possibly required, or not needed.

Is a longer term better?

A term should cover the years when your household would struggle if you died: a mortgage balance, kids still at home, a business debt. Higher-duration terms cost more per month but lock your rate for longer. You can compare 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 years in the quote tool.

Does this site sell my information?

No. The quote tool never asks for email or contact details, we don't sell or share visitor data, and our measurement has no cookies. Check the privacy page for the exact list of what gets collected and who sees it.
